Warranty & Refunds
In order to ensure maximum accuracy and efficiency, our wind meters only allow one device to be linked at a time.
If you want to use a different one, you should disconnect the first device, and connect the new one. It will take less than a minute!
Each of Calypso Instruments' wind meters show a unique ID when it's paired with your chosen device.
There is an option within the Anemotracker App where you can rename your ultrasonic, making it easier to identify!
The number should be printed on your box and/or the wind meter sticker.
You can also write it down the first time you connect it, since it will not change over the time. That ID will appear in the App when you scan for devices, so you will be able to locate yours.
Yes, it is upgradable through Anemotracker App.
Our wind meters are built with an advanced automatic power management system, so battery life it should not be a concern.
While battery usage depends on the wind meter of your choice, they all roughly have an autonomy of 1 year in sleep mode without sunlight, and ~30 days while measuring.
The BLE radio chip integrated on the device has a nominal value of 50m. During in-house testing we have reached up to 80 m range on an open space, at the same level and keeping transmitter (ULTRASONIC) and receiver (Nexus 5) at the same positions along the test.
Range will depend upon transmitter-to-receiver direct visibility, your device antenna performance, electromagnetic environment (electrosmog), etc. However, in all tests we had run, we had no problem to get the signal from the top of the mast to the cabin, even to our berths.
Yes, our products are covered under a 2 years standard warranty from the time of purchase.
Calypso Instruments will repair, recalibrate or replace with the same or equivalent product, any defective product or part when notified within the warranty period.
New or reconditioned parts could be used in performing limited warranty repairs and building replacement products.

We work with a carry-in warranty type , meaning that our customers are responsible for sending/mailing the products for repair. Thereafter, the repaired product themselves will be shipped by Calypso Instruments at its own expense.
You have 30 days to return an item from the date you received it. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
Your item must be in the original packaging, seal label must be intact. No returns if the seal is broken or removed.
Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase.
Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item.
If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment).
You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer's policies.
